WE HAVE THE SECERET SAUCE.
Many people wonder, How can I grow spiritually? How do I become more like Jesus? Having a clear plan for spiritual traction is essential. Freshwater believes these five catalysts are the "secret sauce" that will help you grow your faith.

1. PRACTICAL TEACHING
Jesus wants us to hear His word, and then put it into practice. At Freshwater, you'll hear teachings from the Bible that point you toward the next step in your faith. Sermons are REAL and relevant to your life -- wherever you may be in your relationship with God. We believe God will point you toward real life action and real life change through these practical teachings. Matthew 7:24-28

2. PRIVATE DISCIPLINE
Without discipline many of life's battles will not be won. The same is true with our spiritual lives. Daily time alone with God in the word and prayer is essential for our growth. God also calls us to disciplines of fasting and giving. In these private disciplines we strengthen our spiritual resolve and form Godly character. At Freshwater we challenge our people to be self-feeders who daily seek God and build spiritual practices of obedience that demonstrate our love and devotion to God.

3. PERSONAL MINISTRY
We all want to make a difference and help those around us. God actually invites each of us to use the gifts and talents He has given us to accomplish that. When we find a personal ministry, God moves with power in and through us and we make an impact in other people’s lives. At Freshwater, we encourage everyone to find their place on the field, both in the church and the community, to see how God will use our spiritual gifts to help and inspire those around us.

4. PROVIDENTIAL RELATIONSHIPS
Proverbs 13:20 states this — he who walks with the wise grows wise but a companion of fools suffers harm. Relationships shape us – and we believe God puts people in our live to help us become like Him. Freshwater believes in the power of friendships, mentors, and sharing life with each other for life change.

5. PIVOTAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Life has been compared to a roller coaster ups and downs — often one right after another. How do we determine if these things are good or bad or what part God plays in these events? Our world view will determine if we beleive that God uses these things to help us learn about life, build character and as a way to grow closer to Him. We build this worldview through practical teachings, providential relationships, and our private disciplines. Knowing God and understanding his purposes will help us to interpret life's ups and downs in a way that will aid our growth.
